Attitudes (A To Z Challenge)

Since I had my hands full tonight, my first post to the A to Z Challenge is coming late in the day.  So here it is.

I picked Attitudes to start out since every parent has to deal with their kid’s attitudes and I’m not any different.  Having two boys and two girls, I have seen all sorts of attitudes already in my house.  I know I haven’t seen all of them since my girls are only 4 years-old right now.

I have been trying to teach my kids to use the right and positive attitudes as much as possible when they can.  An example of my oldest doing this was last year when he got punched in the face by another kid at school.  He just dust himself off and kept his cool.  He made me so proud that day. that he choose not to fight.

My two girls are a hand full with their attitudes that they have.  They are sometimes the best of friends or at each other like cats and dogs.   You really have to start worrying about them when they start working as a team.

Here is my list of New Year’s Resolutions for this year.  They are not in any order and some of them are even from last year.  I have also broken them into groups so that I can manage them better as well as to make it easier for me to remember them but it didn’t really helped.  Most of the resolutions listed below  were broken by the time summer came around.  I need to approach this list in a new and different way.  Next years resolution will not just be a resolution, but it will be a list of goals with real deadlines on them.  More to come in the next few weeks.

Personal Resolutions

Stop Yelling.

Stop Cursing. (Or at least slow it down.)

Control Anger (To be more Patience – Proverb 15:1)

Read the Bible.

Read more books.

Be a good dad and husband.

Pay more attention to my family.

Get Kids to school and on time.

Financial Resolution

Have less Debt or try to get out of Debt.

Work Resolution

Work harder at work.

Writing Resolutions

Write almost every day in my personal hand written journal.

Start writing poetry and poems again.

Write 2 to 3 or more times on my blog a week.

Read more Dad and family blogs and leave comments on them.

(If anyone knows any good blogs that I can read and is not on my blog roll then please leave it in the comment area of this post.)
