Hearing your kids laughing out load is the best thing to hear.  It tells you that your kids are happy, emotional healthy, and full of life.  Sometimes I forget this when I have a bad day at work or a very busy day that doesn’t evolve the kids.

When I do remember this then I feel like I was a bad parent.  Every parent knows that you are your worst critic when it comes to what you do and you are hard on yourself as well.  So I just have to remember being a parent is not a sprint but a marathon.

I usually make it up to my kids the next day and spend as much time as I can with them.   This last weekend I took my boys out for breakfast and got both of them laughing and talking.  It was one of the best experiences for all of us.

I then took my girls out for Lunch.  They wanted to get all dressed up for their date with daddy and I dressed up as well.  They enjoyed having me take them out as they laughed and giggled at every funny thing that happened.  They all had a blast this last weekend to spend time with their dad and just laugh out load.

These moments are what makes being a dad to my kids worth it.
