This is a tough subject to talk to kids about and sometimes kids don’t even ask about it.  It is the subject of Life and Understanding Life.  I got the privilege to answer this subject with my kids a little while ago.  I can’t remember how the topic was brought up but I Uknow I didn’t bring the topic up.

If you ever think about this topic, you already have found out there are several emotions attached to it.  In this case it was about why my father-in-law was not with us anymore.  My oldest is the only one alive before my father-in-law died.  The younger kids never met him when he was alive.  My wife still tears up about this subject as I do as well.  I remember it was a very hard think to talk about.

I believe this was brought up since there was two kids this year in my oldest daughter’s class that lost one of their parents.  This is the first time any of my kids have to deal with death at school and it happened twice in the same year.

Please feel free to leave comments below on your experience with your kids on talking about Life and death with them.  I would like to hear them to make sure I approached the topic correctly with my kids.

Talking – The A to Z Challenge 2016

My girls like to talk all of the time.  They talk so much that they don’t get their toys picked up in a normal time span or even missing the bus in the mornings due to getting into a long conversation with each other.T

My wife blames me for this and tells me they got the consent talking from me.  I’m the same way.  If I start talking about a subject that I’m really interested in then I can talk for hours and they are showing this characteristic.

As much as my girls talk, I’m still glad they can talk and communicate normally with me and my wife.  There are several parents out there that have to talk to their kids in a different way besides talking.

I never really recognize how much I talk until my daughters were born and started talking.  I wonder if I have ever annoyed any one for talking to much.  If I did, then I’m sorry for annoying you.

Please feel free to leave comments below on your experience with people that talk to much in your family.  Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Shouting – The A to Z Challenge 2016

This is an activity I do almost on a daily basis.  I only shout at my kids if they are hurting themselves or another kid.  It is not always the best thing to do and I’m working on fixing that.  I know shouting only make things harder to do but Ssometimes I have to do it to get them from shouting at each other.

My girls shout at each other when they get really mad at each other.  I’ve been trying to find different ways for them to express their feelings without shouting or hurting each other.  They can be the best of friends and the worst of enemies.

Please feel free to leave comments below on your experience with kids that shout at each other.

Rest – The A to Z Challenge 2016

This is one of my favorite words.  Since I have four kids in my house it is also a word I don’t use much unless I’m heading to bed.  I like to rest when I can.  I have been building a playhouse for my kids as well as putting in long hours at work.  This is the first Sunday Rin a couple of weeks that I can just relax and rest.

So while I’m resting I’m also catching up with other things that I didn’t have time to do like writing.  Everyone needs to have rest days so you can relax and re-energize for the next day or week.  A person can get burnt out of doing something if they don’t rest.  This is what I feel like at work right now.

Another activity I use to help me rest besides writing and reading is fishing.  Fish is one of the most relaxing sports that I do.  It is also an activity that I will pass down to my kids.

Please feel free to leave comments below on your experience with kids on the different ways to rest and relax.
