Ephesians 6:4 is another reading in the bible that deals with Fatherhood.

To me Ephesians 6:4 talks about how we as fathers and dads should not pick on or pick at our kids due to what they did or are doing.

This doesn’t mean not to correct them but don’t keep getting on them to stop without doing the correction part of it.

This also tells fathers to raise their children up with good values, kindness, and love like it is taught in the bible.  To look at everyone the same way and to not judge someone for anything they do or did.

These truly talk to us as fathers and dads to how to raise our children in general.

Here are two different bible translations of Ephesians 6:4

Ephesians 6:4

New International Version (NIV)

4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4

New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

4 And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Luke 6:37 is another reading in the bible that deals with Judging others and it is also one of my all time favorite passages. When you read this passage in the bible you remember not to judge others.

To me Luke 6:37 talks about how you should treat everyone the same way and not to judge anyone.  If you judge someone then you will be judge the same way at the gates of Heaven.

This also will help parents teach their children not to judge people for their actions and how you should treat others even if they don’t treat you the same way.

Here are two different bible translations of Luke 6:37

Luke 6:37

New International Version (NIV)

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Luke 6:37

New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven;

Proverbs 13:7 is another reading in the bible that deals with money and being humble.

Proverbs 13:7 talks about how sometimes if you act like your wealthy and a snob sometimes means you are not rich at all.  The other part is that most financial wealthy people really act like any other person that don’t have money.  They are frugal and humble around others and truly care about others.  They are friendly with strangers and don’t think they are better than anybody else.  These are just some characteristics of what this passage is trying to teach you about.  How some people are trying to be better than everyone else.  They are really in a worse position then you are in and they are just in denial.

This also will help parents teach their children how to act and treat others no matter how rich they are or poor they are.  This is truly learned but showing your kids by example as well as telling them how to do this.

Here are two different bible translations of Proverbs 13:7

Proverbs 13:7

New International Version (NIV)

7 One person pretends to be rich, yet has nothing;
    another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth.

Proverbs 13:7

New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

7 Some pretend to be rich, yet have nothing;
    others pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth.
