Two skills every parent should have at all times and they happen to start with the letter “P”. Passionate and patience are not always the easiest skills to do. If you don’t have these skills and you have kids then you are probably having a hard time being a parent.

I know I’m not patient with my kids all of the time and I’m trying to work on it every day. You have to be patient when you talk to your kids as well as patience when you correct them when they did something wrong. This way you are not correcting your kids out of anger and do something you regret doing.

Passionate is another skill I use with my kids all of the time. You will have a positive outcome with them when you are passionate to them. It is also a good trait to teach them.

When was the last time you show these traits when correcting your children? When was the last time you didn’t? Leave your answers in the comment section.

I had a hard time coming up with something to post for the letter “O”. So Busy Mom helped me out with this post. I have to give credit when it’s due, so get ready for a post about oranges and my family.

Oranges is a fruit my youngest daughter (L) loves eating. She loves oranges so much that she could be happy just eating them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if she could get away with it. My whole family likes oranges but not at the level my youngest daughter does. Right now I’m not sure if this is just a phase she is going through.

To make it interesting at my house is the fact my oldest daughter (M) loves bananas. So almost every morning we have the smell of oranges or bananas or even both in the kitchen. I’m so glad I like both fruits. The boys are willing to eat both fruits about really don’t have any preference on with one they like more.

On another note when Busy Mom (my wife) was pregnant with my second son (J), she had a craving for oranges all the time. It didn’t matter if it was the fruit or sometime that had a similar taste of an orange like orange slice candy. She was craving it. And yes I had to run out in the middle of the night during that time to get oranges at the grocery store in the middle of the night. That was the only time Busy Mom craved oranges.

I could talk about oranges more but due to me trying to keep my posts under 300 words for the challenge. I’ll add to this at a different time and post.

Now I’ll leave you a couple of questions to answer in the comments if you wish to. You don’t have to answer both but you could if you can. What was the most interesting or most bizarre thing your wife or you craved while pregnant?

The second question is if you had food that you could eat all of the time if you could, what is it and why? Is it your favorite or just a food you crave? Leave your comments about the post or the answers to the question below.

New Path With Your Kids (A to Z Challenge)

An urban footpath from www.wikipedia.org

If you have been following my blog during the A to Z Challenge and you are now thinking that I should have been doing this in my life, then ever fear you can. All it takes is for you to change your ways and go down a new path.

Your kids might not notice at first that you changed anything. But believe me they do. If you start reading a book at bedtime, spend one on one time with them, or even start sitting down at the kitchen table for dinner, they will notice. The stuff that they might not notice right away is if you telling them you love them more often than you have been doing.

At first this might cause you to have a confused look on their faces. Change hardly goes smoothly in any part of your life. But they will get with it and then it will be part of the new routine. If you decide to start eating healthier and feeding your kid’s healthier options then they might get confused. But after a few times then it becomes normal to them. Children are so easily molded when they are at a younger age.

I’m not telling you that you have to change or forcing you to change your current ways. You are an adult. But when I did change my ways and following what I have been posting on this site a few years ago. The rewards from the changes have been awesome.

Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, you are making memories with your child and that might be the thing you are changing.

What new path or changes did you do that would benefit your kids or family? Was it a good or bad change and was it worth it? Please leave your responses in the comments section below.

Memories is something kids will remember for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t matter if it is a good or bad memory, they will remember it.

As a father of four children, I have many opportunities to make last memories with my children. This is important in many ways. One of the ways is that it is a way that they can remember you as a parent and a friend to them. this is something they could share with their children in the future.

Another way this is important you have memories is it will help your children teach your grandchildren. One things we do in our house is have dinner together as a family and we wait for everyone to get their food before we start eating. I hope my kids will teach their kids the same thing from our experience.

As a parent memories will be something we can remember before we get to a time in our life that we can’t do that certain activities anymore. So it is good to make and keep memories with your children.

What is your favorite memory of an activity you did with your child(ren)? Leave your answers and comments below.
