Like my last post mentioned is that my kids are all dare-devil kids.  They will do anything that looks fun and look like an accident waiting to happen.  My youngest daughter proved that at the trampoline park by hitting her head on the trampoline Dwhen she was flipping.

Both of my sons prove this by wrestling at the middle school level ans well as the club level.  Wrestling club level meets are a lot more aggressive and quicker than middle school wrestling.

My oldest daughter proved this by doing gymnastics in the house .  She also get hurt sometimes but then she gets up and start doing it again and not giving up.  Both of my girls are in gymnastics through out Parks Department in our town. They also play on the swing set in the backyard like it is part of their gymnastics.

My youngest boy does this in the backyard as well, but he uses it as an American Ninja Course instead of gymnastics course.  My oldest son likes making a course for his little brother and some of the courses are very interesting.

Please feel free to leave comments below on your kids being dare devils in your life?.

Courage and Curious – The A to Z Challenge 2016

Courage and curious  are the words that I’m using for the letter C.  This describes my kids daily activities.  They are always curious and wanting to do and try new things. C They tried going to a trampoline park this last weekend and end up having a blast as well.

This is where the Courage comes in as well.  They all built up courage to start doing back flips and forward flips on the trampolines into a pit of foam squares.  My youngest daughter took a couple hits to the back of the head against the trampoline.  But like a trooper, she never gave up and she had the courage to try it again until she got it right.

My oldest son didn’t do much flips on the trampolines.  He liked trying to dunk the basketball off of a trampoline.  In general, the 90 minutes we spent at the park for our time slot was full of curiosity and courage.

The next day was full of sore muscles and legs from jumping so much.  Now I’m curious on how they will handle going back again to the trampoline park.

Please feel free to leave comments below on your experience at a trampoline park.

Bouncing Trampolines and Birthdays – The A to Z Challenge 2016

B is for bouncing trampolines and birthdays.  Today is a big day in our family.  My oldest goes from a preteen to a full-blown teenager at the age of 13 with an attitude of a 20-year-old.  So to make his birthday a fun day today, we are going to the nearest (over an hour drive) trampoline park around us.

I never knew what a trampoline park was until last year when my sister-in-law found one and took my wife and our kids to it.  I have yet to see what one looks like inside but They told me it was wall to wall of trampolines with ball pits at the end of them so kids can jump into them.

There was kids doing all types of tricks like flips and twists.  My oldest wanted to go back there for his birthday so as part of his present and party we are.  I’ll have to write-up a follow-up to how it was.  Maybe I’ll used another letter in the challenge to write about it or just wait after the challenge is over.  But I will write about it.

The rest of my son’s birthday present is still not here yet.  It was scheduled to arrive here on Friday and yet it hasn’t shown up at the store.  We bought him a basketball hoop because he really like to play basketball and the old hoop we had broken.  I hop it at least come in today.

What fun stuff do you do for your kids birthdays?  What new things have they tried and liked?  Please feel free to leave comments below.

Appreciation For What You Have – The A to Z Challenge

A is for Appreciation.  Yes my first post for the A to Z Challenge will cause some Dads to think long and hard at what they are doing.

I’m doing this as I sit here writing this blog post as well.  In not at all perfect and I do A2Z-BADGE 2016-smallerstruggle to on a daily basis trying to be the best dad and husband that I can.

I have been noticing a lot of Dads writing and talking about making life choices and getting a divorce on social media.  I don’t know all of the reason nor do I need to know all of the reasons for your choices.  Most of the talk I hear is all self center and not noticing what they have until it is too late and someone or some child gets hurt by it.

Everyone needs to take a step back from what you are doing and appreciate what you have in front of you before it is too late.  Be happy at what you got and who you married because you did at one time or you wouldn’t be married right now.  Remember how precious and important your child or children are.

Because one day it can be over in a blink of an eye.  Life is too short to waste time and not appreciate what you got in front of you.  At the end, friends come and go but family stays together through the best and the hard times in life.  Your spouse will help you more often and be there for you if you show her or him appreciation.

Appreciation is one of the key words I don’t hear people say or talk about that much.  I mostly here it if someone is getting something from another person like a gift or helping someone do a task.

As I state that above, I do appreciate you stopping by and reading my blog post.  Feel free to comment below with your thoughts as well as your opinions about this post.
